What are the crates made of?
All our crates are made from a tough polypropylene making them a the perfect alternative to cardboard boxes as the crates are strong and robust

Are the crates weather proof?
The crates can stand most weather conditions although they are not waterproof. Providing the lidded crates are not left out in bad weather for too long they should do a more than adequate job of protecting your belongings.

Are the crates stackable?
All crates nest inside each other when empty and on top of each other when full. This is a great way of saving valuable work space.

Can crates be secured?
Yes, we can provide security seals which fasten to each end of our lidded crates. These security seals will ensure your goods are not tampered with when in transit or in storage.

What are the sizes and types of crate you supply?
We have many different sizes of crate available (please see products page). Lidded crates or open crates, we are sure you will find what you need.

Apart from crates is there anything else you hire or supply?
To make your relocation or internal moves go a little smoother we can supply roll cages, skates, sack barrows, rubber topped dollies, bubble wrap and labels etc. Check out our products page or give us a call on 0800 052 1066.

Do you provide a removal moving service?
Crate Hire Express only provide crate rental.

We occasionally sell used crates at reduced prices.

Is there a minimum quantity of crates you supply?
No! You can have as few or as many as you want.

How much notice do you need to deliver crates to me?
Crates delivered next day as standard, providing we get your order before 16:30. Same day deliveries (when available) will incur an additional "emergency delivery" charge.

Can I order crates online?
Yes Just fill in the order form on our website.

What time will my crates be delivered/collected?
Deliveries are normally made in the morning and collections in the afternoon. Timed deliveries/collections can be made but will occur an additional charge.

Can I extend my crate hire rental period?
Yes as long as you give us 24hrs notice.

Where do you deliver crates?
We deliver crates for rental in all parts of the UK.

Will Crate Hire Express notify me of any crates not returned?
Yes Crate Hire Express will notify by email of any outstanding crates.

What happens if some of the crates are kept after the agreed rental period?
You will be charged at the agreed crate rental rate for each crate not returned until they are.

Can I change my order after I have booked?
Yes, as long as it is before the delivery date and within office hours.

Can I have 'same day' delivery?
Yes, when available, 'same day' deliveries will incur an additional 'emergency delivery' charge.

Can I have a timed delivery?
Timed deliveries / collections can be made but will occur an additional charge.
Billing

Can you provide a vat invoice for crate rental?
Yes we can!

Are crate hire and delivery/collection charges subject to vat?
All crate Hire Express charges are subject to the standard rate of vat.

How will you bill me and how do I pay?
Crate Hire Express operate a standard 30 day credit agreement for all our customers, you will be invoiced at the end of the month for activity on your account in that month. You can settle your account by cheque, BACS or credit / debit cards.

What happens if we lose a crate?
All lost crates are charged for.

Are my payment details secure?
Yes, all payments taken by debit/credit card are safe and secure. Crate Hire Express does not store any card details given, we comply to very strict regulations and are PCI compliant.
